The most important part of the Foundation 6 contact form for most people is the Email Action stack which is what picks up whatever a viewer has entered into the form you have created and decides how to compose an email.
If what you are looking for is a simple way to compose and send an email to someone, (the owner of the website potentially), then here is an explanation of the set-up I have been using since I started using Foundation 6. It is not dissimilar to the set-up I used in the previous iteration of Foundation called Foundation 1 in that the principles are very much the same.
I know it can get a little confusing working out what all the email addresses are about and which are which. Hopefully this will clarify which email address goes where and how to complete the Email Action stack fields.
On the site you are looking at now I have a simple contact form with the following fields defined for a viewer to complete:
- name
- phone
- message
That's it. There is also a Honeypot stack in the form to deter robots.
