Fixing a Forced Reflow issue

I started from the bottom of the page and worked my way up and nothing much was making any difference until all I was left with was a container with a few buttons and an SVG logo. I looked at the code of the SVG and realised that the code was quite extensive. I hadn't really twigged that fact when I first built the site. I just converted a png file to an SVG format and grabbed the code generated.

So I simply replaced the SVG with a .webp version of the original png file, properly sized and voila, my mobile performance score jumped from 60% to 87% and the website rankings all increased favourably too although some of that was down to other text content and schema improvements. 

So the big lesson for me is don't always assume that SVG is the right answer for a logo, particular if it has many complex elements with different colours.
