How I began using Siteground for hosting
I started using Siteground as my preferred hosting company for my websites in 2017. I moved primarily because of the lack of available support from my previous hosting company 123Reg. To get any sort of support from 123Reg in 2017 I had to raise a ticket and then wait, sometimes days, for the answer to come back. I didn't feel that was acceptable and it was difficult to explain to my clients why their sites weren't working and why I was using 123Reg at all given the lack of support.
At first Siteground were a breath of fresh air support wise. I could ring a number and talk to someone, I think they were in Romania. The online control panel was familiar so I very rarely needed any help anyway. I started to recommend them to my clients. There was a slight downside in that although the introductory rate was attractive the eventual rate that my clients had to pay annually wasn't so good but most of them accepted that that was the cost of doing business.
