4. AI-Powered SEO Tools:
SEO.ai: This tool helps with SEO strategy implementation, providing tools for keyword research, content creation, and optimization. Other AI Tools: Various AI-powered tools are emerging, offering capabilities like advanced keyword research, content optimization, and predictive analytics.Lets break down what this says:
Point 1 is about automation and efficiency in the discovery of keywords, in the creation of relevant content and in the analysis of existing websites for ways that a website can be improved. There's nothing here to suggest that keywords are irrelevant, in fact the reverse.
Point 2 is again about improving content: to make it more relevant and personalised.
Point 3 is about analysing how well a website is built in terms of performance, accessibility. These are two of the factors that Google Lighthouse and Page Speed Insights already measure.
Point 4 is again about using tools to perform developer tasks such as keyword research and content optimisation.
None of the above suggest to me that keywords are now irrelevant, in fact the opposite.
What this does suggest to me is that although keywords are indeed a big part of search engine optimisation the most important thing to focus on is the quality of the text content. It must be relevant, informative, easily understood, jargon free and most of all it must address the answers to questions that people are searching for when they come on-line looking for answers to their problems and wishes. This has always been the case in my view.
If you are selling a product or service then you need to understand what questions prospective customers may have and provide compelling answers as to why your product or service will best meet their needs.
My conclusion is that we need to both focus on the short keyword combinations AND we need relevant text content that will resonate with the customer looking for a solution and address any queries and concerns they may have.
AI may help us to understand what people are searching for and it may be able to steer us in the right direction to provide content but I strongly believe that total reliance on AI generated content is fraught with difficulties not least the prospect of duplication of content and the fact that search engines companies have said that they are on the lookout for machine generated content in order to penalise it. A potential way forward is to use AI as a tool to generate headings and the text underneath each heading to be written by human hand, in doing so making it more personal to your business.
